Resumo

Every time any new vulnerability comes out the security community should be ready to understand it, in order to perform offensive computing (exploitation) or even defensive computing (protection), and there is no such powerful approach other than reverse engineer.

A case study will be used to educate the audience about what the professional researchers often do to perform this "black magic", showing and demonstrating a very detailed step-by-step process about:

  • How to gather valuable information about the vulnerability
  • How to analyze the vulnerability
  • How to exploit the vulnerability
  • How to deeply map any unique detail about the vulnerability

To show that everyone is capable to start reversing vulnerabilities, the speaker will show how to use public available tools (free tools) to perform such tasks.
